Before and after

Before and after makeovers are one of my favourite things to research. The whole process from start to finish has me hooked. Before: above is overwhelming dark wood paneling
After: painted all white with new flooring and a lovely white rug. I love the touches of colour with the flowers around the room

When it comes to colour trends, it appears 2013 will be all about going green, we’re talking emerald green. The Pantone Colour Institute, a global authority on colour, has selected emerald as its colour of the year. Most often associated with precious gemstones-this lush, rich refreshing colour which embodies understated sophistication will most certainly be making a splash in the interior design world.

Great libraries

Libraries, big or small, public or private are a great source for information, inspiration, imagination and inquiring minds. How funny is that, they all begin with the letter I. What better way to spend the day exploring your local public library, or curling up with a good book, a cuppa coffee and a yummy snack in your own private area at home. What’s your favourite way to spend time at your local library?
